SKILL.md is a markdown file with a short YAML header (name and description) and a body of step-by-step instructions — shell commands, prerequisites, and notes — that teach an AI agent how to run repeatable Instagram workflows. This Instagram Skill Builder page pre-loads openquok CLI steps for Instagram so your exported skill is ready to edit. Agents read the header at startup to decide when the skill applies, then load the full instructions when they invoke it.

How is a skill different from an MCP server?

A skill is a playbook the agent reads: it tells the model what to do and which commands to run — such as the Instagram posts:create recipes you compose here. An MCP server is a live tool connection over the Model Context Protocol (search, APIs, file ops, and more). Many setups use both — MCP for tools, SKILL.md for the recipe. See agent setup guides and MCP setup guides.

Where can I use a SKILL.md file?

Any agent host that supports the Agent Skills format: OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Grok Bot (Plugins or workspace skills), and ThinkRail (~/.pi/agent/skills/ or .pi/skills/), Claude Code (.claude/skills/), Cursor (.cursor/skills/ or .agents/skills/), Codex (~/.agents/skills/), GitHub Copilot (.github/skills/), and others. Install the exported Instagram skill using your host’s layout — see agent setup guides or MCP setup guides.

Do I have to write SKILL.md by hand?

No. This Instagram channel page starts with CLI workflow steps and example payloads for instagram; Skill Builder adds the frontmatter, overview, prerequisites, and formatting from catalog building blocks you pick. Preview and edit the markdown before you download — useful even if you have never written agent instructions before.

What does Skill Builder do?

Pick building blocks from the skill and MCP servers catalog, start from the pre-loaded Instagram workflow on Instagram Skill Builder, arrange CLI commands and notes, and preview a SKILL.md file you can download or save as a playbook. It is open source and free to use — no workspace required to export.

Do I need an OpenQuok account to use it?

No for editing and downloading SKILL.md. Sign in when you want to save a playbook draft or publish to the catalog from Account → Saved. The Saved library guide covers drafts, review, and hub visibility.

What's included for Instagram?

This page opens with a starter Instagram workflow so you are not building from scratch. You will see example commands for posting content, connecting your account, and checking analytics — the same recipes from our Instagram CLI examples. Edit any step, reorder them, or add skills and MCP building blocks from Building Blocks before you export. For another platform, pick a different channel in the By channel section.

How do I build an Instagram agent skill?

Start from the feed post recipe on this page, upload media via CLI or MCP, and export SKILL.md. Connect Instagram Business or standalone login in OpenQuok first. When your skill schedules posts, connect Instagram in your workspace first — connect channels in OpenQuok. Command shapes match Instagram CLI examples and this Skill Builder page.

How do I schedule social media posts with OpenQuok?

Connect channels, write in Creating posts, then pick a time on the calendar or kanban. Agents can use the CLI, agent setup guides, or MCP setup guides.

Can I try OpenQuok for free?

Yes. OpenQuok offers one 7-day free trial per payment customer so you can run social media accounts on auto-pilot before you subscribe the plan. Create an account and start today — no credit card required. Canceling and resubscribing, or creating another workspace, does not grant a second trial. Plan limits are on Pricing and in the billing limits guide; trial rules are in the Cloud trial guide.

What are Unlimited AI Writer and AI Summarizer?

They draft or shorten captions in your browser on supported Chromium builds. Text stays on your device. The feature is experimental. See AI generation in the composer.
